I’ve been pretty busy lately with my new job and with Uni. I’m working 5 days a week including a sleepover & split shifts the next day on weekends. I’m the lowest weight I’ve been in many years (82 kilograms). I think it’s just from running around at work, I’m just moving more. I definitely haven’t been making the best choices for my health though, with food or exercise. I basically stopped going to the gym and just ate whatever. I started smoking more as well. I was feeling pretty damn horrible… creeping anxiety, extreme fatigue, and just a general “blah” uncomfortable feeling all the time. But I’ve started going back to the gym again now and I instantly feel a bit better. I really want to make sure every meal I eat is nutritious and beneficial for me… not to lose weight, but because feeling terrible all the time scares me and it tends to snowball and get worse.
Today I craved fast food and I’m still insanely tired so I didn’t want to cook. I’ve had 9 hours sleep but feel like I’ve had 3, not sure why I always feel like that. Chronic Ftaigue Syndrome I’m thinking… it’s been going on for a number of years. I just can’t get enough sleep. Anyway, I went and got some fast food but I got Salsa’s veggie packed bowl. It’s rice, cheese, beans, grilled veggies, fresh veggies and guacamole. It’s soooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good! Definitely my favorite take-away. Other than that, I’ll have sushi or Subway (tuna & veggies or just veggies).
The grilled veggies have a smokey flavour and when you dig underneath them all, there’s tasty rice/frijoles/melted cheese all mixed together. Yummm. Good cold weather food! It’s been unsually cold here lately.
I’ve also been having a lot of big vegetarian breakfasts. Not exactly the healthiest option for breakfast, but yummy, and at least it’s got some nutrition.
The “bacon” in that picture is Cheatin’ vegetarian bacon rashers. Speaking of faux meats, I went to a health food shop near my new work and I was surprised to find a bunch of vegetarian/vegan products I’d never seen before!
The Linda McCartney mozzarella burgers are AWESOME. The closest to beef burgers I’ve ever tasted. They just have so much flavour. But unfortunately they’re not vegan, they do contain ‘free range egg albumen’ and mozzarella.
I’ll do a full review of the products in a post in the next couple of days. Some were REALLY bad, haha.
I’m going to head off for a walk with my mum and all our dogs now, so I’ll type to your later!
